Kristofer or better known around the Brown campus and the famed Pizzitola Sports Center as "KG" is on the home stretch of his Brown Tennis career. During his time at Brown Kris has been a GIANT part of the resurgence of the Men's Tennis Program, which has included an Ivy League Championship, two NCAA tournament appearances, a national team ranking of #33, and a 20 win season! In his four years at Brown Kris leaves a legacy of being the ULTIMATE team guy that each and every day made himself better and made those around him better! It is because of these incredible attributes that the Brown Men's Tennis Team is proud to have Kris Goddard as a Tri-Captain of the 2003-2004 team! Kris is a guy that the Brown Tennis Team and Brown community will deeply miss, but those who know him know that Kris will be successful in what ever he chooses to do!
Kris's resume in 2003-2004 has been impressive posting a 9-6 singles record and a 23-8 doubles record. Kris and partner Zack Pasanen '06 are currently the #6 ranked doubles team in the east region and in the fall the pair reached the semifinals of the Omni East Regional Championships. The Top Gun duo have posted key dual match doubles wins for the Bruno over the likes of Michigan State, New Mexico, VCU, and Fresno State. Also, this spring Kris captured the Harvard Men's Open Singles and Doubles titles teaming with Richard Moss '06.
Last season Kris compiled a 26-9 doubles record, which include scoring key dual match doubles wins over Wake Forest, Fresno State, William & Mary, and a dramatic point-clinching victory in Albuquerque against New Mexico! During the fall of his sophomore year Kris reached the round of 16 at the Omni East Regional Singles Championship. Currently, Kris has amassed 40 career singles wins and 72 career doubles wins at Brown. Kris's 72 doubles wins ranks him 7th on the schools all-time career doubles wins list.
A native of Littleton, Colorado Kris moved to St. Petersburg, FL when he was a freshman in high school in order to maximize his tennis training. Kris lettered all four years in varsity tennis at the Canterbury School and was elected team captain his senior year. Kris played both number one singles and doubles. Kris reached the quarterfinals in doubles at the Florida State 1A High School Championships and was the Florida State 1A Singles Champion. In USTA competition, Kris finished his career 24th in Florida and 141st in the country for his age group.
Kris maintains a busy schedule off the court as a member of the Brown Student Athlete Advisory Board in which he chairs the Campus Relations Committee. Kris has also spent a considerable amount of time working with kids by volunteering at the Fox Point Elementary School. Kris is a Sociology and Urban Studies major boasting a solid 3.1 GPA.
Kris is an avid Denver Broncos fan and has been influenced greatly by the Broncos legendary quarterback John Elway. A little known fact about Kris is that he was elected to the Canterbury High School Homecoming Court his senior year.
