Men’s Tennis Falls to Harvard, 6-1

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Brown men's tennis team was defeated by Harvard, 6-1, on Friday at the Murr Center Tennis Courts. Junior Jack Haworth (Corby, England) posted a come-from-behind win for Brown in second singles.

Harvard opened the match with a 6-2 victory in first doubles by No. 60 Kenny Tao and Brian Yeung. Juniors Anthony Arocho (Norridge, Ill.) and Peter Tarwid (Lake Forest, Ill.) would next pick up a 6-2 victory in second singles, but the Crimson claimed the doubles point with a 6-3 decision in third doubles.

The Crimson opened singles play with five-straight wins before Haworth registered a 4-6, 6-3, (6-3) victory in second singles.

The Bears will next return home and host Dartmouth on Sunday, April 9 in an Ivy League match starting at 1:00 p.m.
