Brown Men's Tennis Topples Bryant, 7-0

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND - The Brown men's tennis team (8-5) hosted Bryant (5-7) on Tuesday and defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 7-0 to earn their eighth win of the season.

The Bears showed their dominance on the court by winning all of their doubles and singles matches. Sophomore Michael Riechmann (Houston, TX), sophomore William Spector (Weston, MA) and junior Sam Fife (Scarsdale, NY) led the Bears, posting a doubles and a singles victory each. Sophomore Justin To (Hong Kong, China) paired with Reichmann to earn the first doubles victory at #1 with an 8-4 win over Bryant. Junior Brandon Burke (Kingston, Jamaica) and Spector earned the second doubles win for Brown with an 8-2 victory and senior Mike Hill (Topsham, ME) doubled with Fife to defeat the Bulldogs 8-4, and earn the doubles point for the Bears. 

Riechmann opened the singles with a win at #1 and Spector and Fife earned singles victories in the #2 and #3 spots, respectively, to extend Brown's lead. Sophomore Daniel Hirschberg (Westport, CT), freshman Lucas Da Silveira (Incline Village, NV) and junior David Neff (New York, NY) rounded out the sweep by tallying a singles win each in the #4, #5, and #6 spots, respectively.

The Bears look to continue their winning streak when they travel to Florida next week to face Florida Atlantic on Monday, March 25th, at 2:00 pm and South Florida on Wednesday, March 27th, also at 2:00 pm.
