Doubles Point the Difference as #61 Brown Men's Tennis Falls to #32 Indiana, 4-3

BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA - The 61st-ranked Brown men's tennis team (3-3) dropped a 4-3 decision to #32 Indiana (6-5) on Saturday afternoon. The two teams split the six singles matches, but the Hoosiers swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point, which would prove to be the difference.

After falling behind, 2-0, after Indiana earned a win at #1 singles following doubles play, Brown came to within 2-1 when junior Sam Fife (Scarsdale, NY) earned a victory at #5 singles.

Indiana would clinch the match with wins at #3 and #2, but the Bears earned victories at #4 (Brandon Burke) and #6 (Mike Hill) to account for the 4-3 final.

Brown continues action on Friday, February 15-Sunday, February 17, when it travels to Ithaca, NY to take part in the ECAC Championship, hosted by Cornell.
