Princeton Defeats #54 Brown, 4-3, in Ivy Opener

PRINCETON, NJ – The 54th-ranked Brown men's tennis team (14-4, 0-1) dropped a 4-3 decision to Princeton on Saturday afternoon in its 2012 Ivy opener. The match ultimately came down to the doubles point as the two teams split the six singles matches, 3-3.

Winners for Brown included sophomore Soufiane Azargui (Burlington, ONT) at #2 singles (2-6, 7-5, 6-1), freshman William Spector (Weston, MA) at #3 singles (6-4, 6-3), and sophomore Sam Fife (Scarsdale, NY) at #5 singles (6-2, 4-6, 6-1).

Brown continues action on Sunday, April 8, when it travels to Philadelphia to face Penn in a 2:00 p.m. match.
