PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown men's tennis team (2-2) dropped a 5-2 decision to Binghamton on Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Center Indoor Courts. The Bears won the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3, but picked up just one singles win, a three-set decision at #2 by junior Kendrick Au (St. John's, NF).
The singles matches were close, as three went to three sets and senior Nathaniel Gorham's match at #1 was decided by a tiebreaker in the second set.
Winners for Brown in doubles included the team of freshmen Timmy Klanke (Potomac, MD) and Tom Deighton (London, England) at #2 (8-3) and the team of Gorham and freshman Mike Hill (Topsham, ME) at #3 (8-4).
The Bears continue action next weekend when they host Colgate and Lehigh on Friday, February 5th, and Virginia Tech on Sunday, February 7th.
