![]() The Brown men's swimming and diving team opened it 2008-2009 season on Saturday afternoon, November 22nd, in a tri-meet with Navy and Dartmouth. The Bears earned a 183-117 victory over the Big Green and narrowly fell to the Midshipmen, 155-131. Brown had a solid day all-around, winning eight of the 16 events, including three victories for sophomore Ryan Kikuchi (Temecula, CA) and two wins for senior Daniel Ricketts (Baltimore, MD). (MORE) ![]() Trio of Bears Compete at US Swimming Olympic Trials Three Brown men's swimmers, Brian Kelly '08 (Weston, MA), Daniel Ricketts '09 (Baltimore, MD), and Peter Volosin '08 (Roanoke, VA), competed at the 2008 Olympic Trials, held in Omaha, Nebraska from June 29-July 6. All three posted at least one best time while there and each improved upon their initial seeding by at least 10 spots in their respective events. (MORE) ![]() Swimmers Recognized at Year-End Banquet The Brown men's swimming and diving team celebrated the conclusion of the 2007-2008 season and handed out five awards, the Joseph Watmough Most Valuable Swimmer Award, the Thomas R. Temple Award, the Ken Miller Scholar-Athlete Award, the Win Wilson Service Award, and the David Sias Outstanding Diver Award to deserving members of the team.
