Glenn Sets Meet Record in 200 Butterfly; Bears Finish Seventh at Ivy Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Brown men's swimming and diving team competed in three-days worth of events at the Ivy Championships this weekend at Harvard's Blodgett Pool, finishing seventh overall with 679.5 points.  The host Crimson claimed the Ivy title with 1,495 points, followed by Princeton (1,413) and Penn (1,050) in second and third, respectively.

Senior Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, N.J.) highlighted the Bears once again in day three action, shattering the meet record in the 200 Butterfly, a record previously held by Doug Lennox of Princeton since 2009 (1:42.78).  Glenn's record-breaking mark of 1:42.35 was also a NCAA A Cut qualifying time and a Brown school record.

Glenn and teammates, Jeffrey Strausser, Alex Pascal, and Oliver Diamond combined to place fifth in the 400 Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:58.37.

In diving action, junior William Rosenberg (Strongsville, Ohio) boasted Brown's best score of the day with 278.55 in the 3-meter diving finals.
