Brown Swimming & Diving Presents Team Awards at Annual Banquet

The Men's Swimming and Diving Team celebrated their 2011-2012 season with a banquet on April 21, 2012. The athletes, coaches and special guests honored the team's hard work and season accomplishments with the presentation of varsity letters and team awards while they enjoyed dinner at the Brown Faculty Club.

First year letter winners included freshman Brian Barr, senior Greg Lowen, freshman Alex Pascal, and freshman Jeffrey Strausser. Sophomores Tommy Glen and Paul Hunter received their second letters while junior Mike McVicker received his third letter. Seniors Jon Feldman and James Hunter received their forth letters which is represented by a white letter sweater. 

The Joseph Watmough MVP Award was given to Tommy Glen. Glen also received The Thomas R. Temple '65 Coaches Award for the second year in a row. The Ken Miller '70 Scholar-Athlete Award was presented to Greg Lowen. Senior captain James Hunter was honored by receiving The Win Wilson '51 Service Award.

Head Coach Peter Brown saluted the seniors and their dedication, perseverance and leadership over the past four years. The evening ended with the captains presenting the coaches with a special kick-board plaque that commemorates the past four years in The Bubble, Brown's temporary pool.
