Brown Men Win at Boston University, 172-126

Boston, Mass. – The Brown Bear men's swimming and diving team traveled to Boston University on Saturday and were victorious against the Terrier, 172-126. 

The Bears' first win of the day came in the 200-yard freestyle as James Hunter hit the wall over two-seconds ahead of the second-place finisher with a time of 1:42.62 for nine team points. Ryan Kikuchi, who has been swimming very well as of late, took the title in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.86, 200 back, 1:51.99 and the 200 individual medley, 1:54.07.

Tommy Glenn picked up a win in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:55.22, almost a full second and a half ahead of the field. Timothy Juhn kept the momentum going for Brown, taking the 50 free in 21.19. Juhn also took first in the 100 free at 47.14.

Brown also took first in the one-meter diving event, as Jon Feldman scored a mark of 275.85.

Danny Fujinaka was victorious in the 500 free, winning by .16 seconds with a time of 4:42.50. Conor Carlucci kept the wins coming in the 100 fly (50.30).

The relay team of Juhn, David Gonzzalez, Oliver Diamond and James Hunter capped the victory with a win in the 200 free with a time of 1:24.70, .20 seconds ahead of the BU team.

Brown has a home meet against Harvard on January 21 at Seekonk High School. The meet start time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
