Bears Fall To Princeton, 9-0, and Penn, 8-1

Providence, RI - Brown opened its home season this weekend at the Pizzitola Sports Center, falling to Princeton, 9-0, Saturday afternoon, and Penn, 8-1, Sunday afternoon. The Bears are now 0-3 overall after facing three of the nation's top teams.

Freshman Brad Thompson prevailed at number five against Penn, earning Brown's lone point of the weekend. Junior Alex Heitzmann lost 9-7 in the fifth at number seven against Penn, and sophomore Adrian Leanza, Brown's number one player, had a match ball against the top Penn player, before falling 10-8 in the fifth.

The Bears will break for final exams and return to play on January 15th against number one Trinity and Connecticut College.
