Bears Battle Harvard In Season Opener
Dec. 3, 2003
Providence, RI -
The men's squash team opened up the 2003-2004 season against a strong Harvard team at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Harvard, who will contend for the national championship this year, was too much to handle, and dealt Bruno a 9-0 loss.
Despite the score, Coach LeGassick was pleased with the squad's performance, and believes the team showed a great deal of potential. Although up against tough competition, not one of the matches was easy for the Crimson. Notably, Freshman Dan Petrie and Sophomore Brian Rifkin pushed their opponents to the limit, but were eventually defeated.
In the exhibition match, Freshman Aaron Rosenthal came from two games down to pull out a five set match against his Harvard counterpart.
