Blake Reinson Earns All-Ivy Squash Honors
Providence, R.I. - Brown senior Blake Reinson (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) has been named to the 2014 All-Ivy Men's Squash First Team as selected by the eight Ancient Eight head squash coaches.
"Blake is the epitome of a student-athlete," said Brown head coach Stuart leGassick. "He's disciplined, hard-working and has always exhibited first-class sportsmanship. Blake has always led by example throughout his entire career."
A two-year captain of the Brown team, Reinson is ranked 36th nationally in the Dunlop CSA individual rankings. He was a semifinalist at the 2014 Malloy Cup, and a finalist in 2013. Reinson played number one for the Bears and posted a 2-1 record at the CSA Team Championship. He also recorded big wins over Dartmouth and Penn during the season.
An Engineering concentrator, Reinson is the first Brown squash team member to earn All-Ivy honors since John Reimers in 1999, and the third player in Brown history to earn All-Ivy honors, joining Reimers and two-time All-Ivy Allan Post '95.
