Brown Squash Players Named CSA Scholar-Athletes
Eight members of the Brown men’s and women’s squash teams have been named to the 2010 College Squash Association Scholar-Athlete Team. All student-athletes selected must be a junior or senior and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 of better, a two-time letter-winner, and have played in at least 75-percent of the scheduled matches.

Brown salvaged a 15th place national ranking at the 2010 College Squash Association National Championship at Yale, beating St. Lawrence, 7-2, on the final day of competition. The Bears also dropped previous matches to Bates (7-2) and Bowdoin (6-3).

In its final regular season match, Brown earned a split with Tufts and Dartmouth, beating the Jumbos, 7-2, and falling to the Big Green, 9-0 at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Number one ranked Trinity earned a 9-0 win over Brown on its home turf to extend the nation's longest active winning streak in any intercollegiate varsity sport to 215 victories in a row.

Brown fell to Williams, 9-0, at the Pizzitola Sports Center with five of the Brown losses going to four games. Junior Adrian Leanza dropped a hard-fought 11-9, 11-6, 9-11, 11-5 decision at number one.

Bears Earn First Win, 8-1, Over Amherst
Brown, ranked 13th nationally, played solid squash and won strongly against 16th ranked Amherst, earning an 8-1 win over the Lord Jeff’s at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Brown had control at the top of the lineup with junior Adrian Leanza setting the pace with an easy 11-2, 11-4, 11-7 win at number one.

The 13th ranked Brown men’s squash team battles 6th- ranked Cornell at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion before the Bears fell to the Big Red by a 7-2 margin.

Penn Holds Off Bears, 6-3
The Brown men’s had a spirited match against Penn before falling to the Quakers by a 6-3 margin. Senior co-captain Adam Greenberg had a great win for the Bears at number seven, coming back from two games to one down, to win in five, 11-9, in the fifth game.

13th Ranked Brown Falls To #2 Princeton, 9-0
The second-ranked Princeton Tigers’ men’s squash team won all 27 individual matches en route to a 9-0 win over #13 Brown at the Jadwin Squash Courts Saturday. Sophomore Brad Thompson put up the biggest fight for the Bears at number three, narrowly dropping the first game, 12-10, before succumbing, 11-8, 11-6.

Pat Davis ’10 and Adam Greenberg ’10 Named 2009-2010 Team Captains At Squash Team Banquet
The Brown men's squash team wrapped up its season with the Squash Team Banquet at the Waterman Grill in Providence. There were several rewards received, including the Best record at the Team Nationals that went to Freshman Tucker Bryan, who went to 3-0 at this year's team championships at #7, dropping only one game throughout the three matches. Head coach Stuart leGassick also announced that Pat Davis ’10 and Adam Greenberg ’10 will captain the squash team in the 2009-2010 season.
