For the second-straight year Brown seniors Jeff Larentowicz and Chris Gomez received NSCAA adidas First Team All-New England honors. Larentowicz, a four-time All-Ivy selection, anchored the Brown defense to six shutouts this season. Gomez, a stalwart between the posts the last three seasons, played every minute in net for Brown this season, registering a 1.13 goals against average and six shutouts.
A starter in the backfield since his freshman year, Larentowicz finished his Brown career playing and starting in 65 games with seven goals and six assists for 20 points. He received First Team All-Ivy honors this season as well.
A dominant player in the air, Larentowicz was named an NSCAA/adidas Second Team All-American last season in addition to receiving First Team All-Ivy and All-New England honors. He was named the MVP of the Yale Classic earlier this season after scoring the game-winning goal against Hartwick. Larentowicz was fifth on the team in scoring with three goals for six points.
The 2004 adidas/Brown Classic's Defensive MVP, Gomez recorded a career-high 13 saves against Columbia on Oct. 2. Gomez received Second Team All-Ivy honors this season. He was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after shutting out the #4 and #5 teams in the country at the Stanford Nike Tournament earlier in the season.
