Providence, RI - For the second time this season, Paul Grandstrand (Orono, MN) has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after helping the #2 Brown men's soccer team (11-1-1, 4-0-0) to a 3-0 victory over visiting Penn on Saturday evening.
Grandstrand was once again stellar in goal for Brown as he picked up his third shutout of the year in helping the Bears to its fifth consecutive win. He tallied four saves on the night, while three came during the second half. He remains unbeaten on the year with an 8-0-1 record in the net, and sports an .821 save percentage. In nine games, Grandstrand has allowed just seven goals and had made a combined 32 saves.
Up next, the Bears will take on Rutgers at 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 31, in New Jersey, and will then head to New Haven on Saturday to challenge Yale for a 4:30 p.m. game.
