Princeton, NJ - Brown goalkeeper Jarrett Leech (Manakin-Sabot, VA) has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after earning his fourth shutout in his fifth start of the season over the weekend in the Bears big 3-0 victory over Harvard. The win gave Brown sole possession of first place in the Ivy League as the sustained 25-30 mph winds did not deter the rookie keeper. Leech stopped all six shots he faced in the swirling wind, improving his record to 4-0-1.
Earlier in the week, Leech posted a season-high seven saves in a 1-1 tie on a rain soaked Stevenson Field against cross-town rival Providence College. In over 412 minutes of action, Leech has allowed just one goal for a 0.22 goals against average. He leads the Ivy League with a .958 save percentage.
