Vote for Brown Men's Soccer Fred Pereira '77 to be on NCAA Men's College Cup 50th Anniversary Team

Providence, RI - The NCAA Men's College Cup will celebrate its 50th anniversary this fall and will be determining a 50th Anniversary team. From the list of 38 names, fans are being asked to cast their vote now through Oct. 15 to choose the 11 best student-athletes and one head coach over the last 50 years. Fans will only be able to submit a vote once. Members selected to the team will be honored at the 2008 NCAA Men's College Cup in Frisco, Texas at Pizza Hut Park on Dec. 12-14.

Be sure to vote for Brown Soccer Hall of Famer Fred Pereira '77, who set a Brown record with twenty-five goals and seven assists to help guide Brown win the 1974 Ivy League title. The next season, From 1974-1967, Pereira was named a First Team All-American, and was also a three-time First Team All-Ivy selection.

Pereira ranks first in Brown's all-time career points leaders with 124 (47 goals, 30 assists), as well as in goals scored in a career (46), career assists (30), and had 124 points in his career.
