Scott Geppert Named Ivy Rookie of the Week For Second Time This Season
Sept. 19, 2005
Princeton, NJ - For the second time in just three weeks, Brown freshman forward Scott Geppert (Coppell, TX) has been named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week. Geppert tallied the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Boston University on Friday night at Stevenson Field. The Bears have had at least one player named either Player or Rookie of the Week since the League began its round of weekly honors this season.
Ten minutes into the second half, Geppert collected a rebound that deflected off the near port, and buried it into the back of the net to give Brown a decisive 1-0 lead over the American East preseason favorite Terriers. The 2004 Texas State Player of the Year is currently tied for the team lead with two goals this season.
