Providence, RI - Class of 2005 alum Jeff Larentowicz scored his first career MLS goal to give the New England Revolution a win over the Columbus Crew at Gillette Stadium Sunday. Larentowicz found the ball on his foot after it bounced around following a corner kick, and he capitalized to put his team ahead for good.
"I thought it was great, I mean I've been waiting for a while for it. I was hoping it would be something a little more spectacular but whatever it takes for us to get the win tonight," Larentowicz told revolutionsoccer.net.
Larentowicz has become a key player for the Revs this season, starting 12 games and subbing into six more after playing sparingly in 2005. The goal helped snap a six-game winless streak for the Revolution.
