Men's Soccer Drops 3-0 Decision to Dartmouth

Dartmouth, NH - The men's soccer team fell 3-0 at Dartmouth Saturday afternoon in the team's final game of the season. The win secures the Big Green a share of the Ivy League title with Penn. The Bears close out the 2002 season with a 5-8-4 overall and 1-4-2 Ivy League record, the first time in ten years Brown has finished below .500.

Juan Romera put the Big Green on the scoreboard less than four minutes into the contest when he scored his fifth goal of the year on an assist from senior Scott Lish.

Dartmouth pushed its lead to 2-0 when sophomore Scott Darci scored on a breakaway at the 23:27 mark of the first with an assist from freshman Peter Scheufele.

With less than two minutes remaining in the first, Romera notched his second goal of the game on a helper from junior Rob Daly to close the scoring.

Sophomore Chris Gomez and senior Peter Mahoney split time in net for Brown.
