Providence, RI - The 12th ranked Brown men's soccer team captured sole possession of the 2003 Ivy League Title with a 1-0 shutout victory over Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at Stevenson Field. The title is Brown's 17th in school history as it has now won seven of the last ten Ivy Championships. Senior Adom Crew (Columbia, MD) scored the winning goal for Brown in the first half, his tenth of the season. The Bears close out the regular season with a 10-3-3 overall and 6-0-1 Ivy record.
Crew netted his league leading sixth game-winning goal at the 31:39 mark with freshman Andrew Daniels (Milwaukee, WI) and senior Seth Quidachay-Swan (San Francisco, CA) earning the assists. The goal captured the Ivy League scoring title for the captain with ten goals and two assists for 22 points on the year.
The win secured Brown's undefeated mark in the Ivy League and gave the team its fifth Ivy shutout of the season. The Bears allowed just two goals in seven games, both coming on penalty kicks. Junior Chris Gomez (Bellflower, CA), who has been impassable all year, posted nine saves for his eighth shutout of the season.
