Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Double Overtime Decision to 22nd Ranked Pennsylvania

Philadelphia, PA - The Brown men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 double overtime decision to 22nd ranked Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon. The Bears fall to 5-6-4 on the year and 1-2-2 in the Ivy League. Pennsylvania remains a perfect 5-0 in Ivy League play and is 10-2 overall. The game marks the sixth time this season Brown has gone into overtime with its opponent.
Pennsylvania out-shot the Bears 11-3 in the first half. Sophomore goalkeeper Chris Gomez (Bellflower, CA) made five of his six saves in the half. After two scoreless half's the game went into overtime. Penn's Will Lee scored the winning goal 35 seconds into the second overtime on a direct kick to lift the Quakers past the Bears 1-0.
Brown continues action on Saturday Nov. 9 against Yale for its final home game of the season starting at 7:30 p.m. Seniors Dustin Branan (Lakeville, MN), Omar Macedo (South Gate, CA), Peter Mahoney (Wellesley, MA), Eduardo Romaneiro (North Brunswick, NJ) and Evan Ryan (Gilford, CT) will all be honored prior to the game.
