The 14th ranked Brown men's soccer team fought Cornell to a 2-0 win, propelling Bruno to an undefeated Ivy record of 4-0.
Starting off strong, Brown maintained possession of the ball for the most of the first half. Off solid defensive play, Bruno successfully transitioned the ball up field towards their first goal at 26:06. Freshman Brian Joyce (Bethesda, MD) crossed the ball to senior Matt Goldman (Knoxville, TN) whom in turn set up and passed to senior Adom Crew (Columbia, MD) for the collaborative goal putting Brown on the board.
Instrumental on attack and pushing the ball from the midfield towards Cornell's goal was junior Marcos Romaneiro (North Brunswick, NJ) who tallied four shots in the game. Brown's second goal was scored by senior Seth Quidachay-Swan (San Francisco, CA) at the 68:58 mark. Quidachay-Swan capitalized on a botched back pass from Cornell's defense to their goalkeeper and placed the intercepted ball into an open net. This win lifts Brown's overall record to 8-3-1 on the season.
In goal for the Bears, junior Christopher Gomez (Bellflower, CA) made two saves in the shutout.
