Men's Soccer Blanks Tulsa 5-0 at Yale/Fila Classic

The Brown men's soccer team shutout the Golden Hurricane of Tulsa 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Yale/Fila Classic in New Haven, CT.
Senior Adrian Rapp (Sausalito, CA) continued his scoring ways by notching two goals and an assist in the winning effort. Senior Pablo Quintanilla (Ballwin, MO) also added two goals on the afternoon.
The Bears got on the board in the first half when Rapp scored on an assist from senior captain Adam Buchanan (Chandler, AZ). Rapp then went on to score his second goal of the game at the start of the second half on a corner kick that gave Brown a 2-0 edge. Picking up assists on the play were Buchanan and sophomore Seth Quidachay-Swan (San Francisco, CA).
Sophomore Adom Crew (Columbia, MD) scored the third goal of the day for the Bears on assists from Buchanan and junior Dustin Branan (Lakeville, MN). Buchanan finished the day with three assists.
Quintanilla scored the fourth and fifth Brown goals on assists from sophomore Edward Thurston (Washington, D.C.), Rapp, and sophomore Matt Goldman (Knoxville, TN).
Brown improves to a record of 2-2 with the victory. The Bears lost 2-0 to UAB in the first game of the Yale/Fila Classic on Friday, September 21.
The Bears will be back in action next weekend when they will head west to play in the San Diego Tournament on Friday, September 28, and Sunday, September 30. On Friday, Brown will face San Diego at 10:00 p.m. and on Sunday the Bears will meet San Diego State at 4:00 p.m.
