Recognized as one of the outstanding young coaches in the country, Brian Young begins his sixth season as a member of Coach Mike Noonan's staff. Young came to the Bears from the University of New Hampshire where he played under Noonan.

Young is instrumental in Brown's recruitment efforts and has both game day, scouting and administrative duties. A four-year starter at UNH, Young saw action as a forward and midfielder, finishing fourth all-time in career assists and ninth in career scoring. In 1994, he earned All-North Atlantic Conference Tournament honors, and helped the Wildcats advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time.

Upon graduation in 1995, Young played two seasons of professional soccer with the Cape Cod Crusaders of the USISL. In 1996 he served as an assistant coach at Bates, helping to guide the Bobcats to a 9-5-1 mark and an ECAC Tournament appearance.

A native of Brunswick, Maine, Young holds a NSCAA national coaching diploma. He resides in Taunton, Massachusetts.
