Gaz Twidale, a native of Rochdale Lancs, England, begins his fifth season with the Brown men's soccer program. Twidale, however, is no stranger to Rhode Island soccer. For the past ten years he has served as the state coach for the Rhode Island Olympic Development Program. In addition, he coached the highly successful North Kingstown High School boy's soccer team from 1991-94.

Twidale, who holds a USSF "C" license and is an avid Liverpool FC fan, lives with his wife, Paula, in West Warwick, Rhode Island.
