Kenny Murphy enters his sixth year with the Brown men's soccer program. In his five years, the Bears have captured three Ivy League Championships, including a perfect 7-0-0 mark in 2007, and made four NCAA Playoff appearances. Murphy also served as the director of coaching for Bruno United his first two years as nine of the thirteen Bruno United FC teams made State Cup Finals in 2004. Murphy played his collegiate soccer at the University of Connecticut, where he captained the Huskies his senior year. During this period, UConn made three visits to the NCAA tournament reaching the round of sixteen, and the regional finals twice. Murphy was drafted by the Hartford Hellions of the Major Indoor Soccer League and the Detroit Express of the North American Soccer League. He subsequently played for the Express and the Washington Diplomats of the NASL. Murphy holds a NSCAA Premier License and a USSF B License. He and his wife, Pam, have two daughters, Kahley and Erin.
