Entering his third season with the Bears, Levesque came to Brown
from Suffield (CT) Academy, where he was the head coach from
2001-2005. His Suffield teams qualified for the New England
tournament for three straight years after Suffield had not reached
the tournament in the previous seven years. In 2005, his Suffield
team won the New England Prep School Championship. Prior to
coaching at Suffield, Levesque was an assistant coach at Vermont
from 1998 to 2001. He was also the Youth Director for the Nordic
Spirit Soccer Club, and was a youth coach for Soccer Plus U15 Boys
team from 2004-2005. A 1996 graduate of the University of Vermont,
Levesque was a four-year starter for the Catamounts. The MVP of the
1995 new England All-Star Game, Levesque was a two-time Academic
All-Conference player, and finished his career as Vermont's 7th
all-time goal scorer, and 10th all-time scorer. Levesque also has
extensive professional playing experience, competing for the
Connecticut Wolves; the Abbington Town United, English Third
Division; the Buffalo Blizzard; the Vermont Wanderers; the Boston
Bulldogs; the New Hampshire Phantoms; and the Western Mass
Pioneers. Levesque also holds a USSF "A" License. He and his wife,
Cassie, and daughter, Sophia, reside in the Providence area.
