Providence, RI- Brown senior forward TJ Popolizio (Rexford, NY) led the Bears to a 1-0-1 week including a 0-0 tie at ninth-ranked St. John's and a 3-2 overtime win over visiting Princeton to be named the Ivy League Player of the Week for the second time this season.
In the victory over the Tigers, Popolizio scored the game-tying goal at the 81:55 mark, evening the score at 2-2. Popolizio then scored the golden goal just 1:23 into overtime to the Bears their first Ivy League win of the year. For the dramatic game winner, senior Taylor Gorman sent a free kick toward the left side of the goal and Popolizio went up and headed the ball into the bottom right corner to give the Bears the win. Popolizio now has four game-winning goals on the year and leads all Ivy League scorers with eight goals.
