Buckley, Madeira and Burke Earn All-Ivy Lacrosse Honors

Providence, RI - Brown senior midfielder Alex Buckley (Ridgewood, NJ), senior attackman David Madeira (Norwich, VT) and sophomore goalie Jordan Burke (Potomac, MD) have been named to the 2007 All-Ivy Men's Lacrosse team, earning honorable mention honors.

Buckley was one of just two players to start all 14 games for the Bears, and ranked third on the team in scoring with 27 points, netting 12 goals and a team leading 15 assists. Buckley, whose four goals against UMBC equaled his career scoring high, finished his Brown career with 48 goals.

Madeira, who was also an All-Ivy pick a year ago, led the Bears in goals scored with 24, seventh best in the Ivy League. He was named the Ivy League player of the Week when he scored a career high five goals and added an assist vs. Bellarmine, and came back with three goals and an assist against UMass. His 83 career goals ranks 13th in the Brown record book.

Burke lead the Ivy League in saves per game (13.0), including 14.67 saves per game in Ivy games. He ranked fifth in the nation in save percentage (.621), while posting an 8.16 goals against average. Burke made a career high 21 saves in a four-overtime game against Dartmouth, and made 20 saves against Vermont, 18 saves vs. UMBC, 17 saves against Penn and 16 saves vs. UMass.
