Brown University Announces Lacrosse Camps for Summer 2004

Brown University head men's lacrosse coach Scott Nelson is pleased to announce three lacrosse camps that will be held on the Brown University campus this summer. The Brown University Lacrosse Camp for Boys, ages 10-18, will be held June 23 - June 27; The Challenge, a competitive lacrosse camp for high school boys, will be held July 8 - July 11; and The Brown University Evening Lacrosse Camp for Boys, ages 7-14, will be held June 14 - June 18.

The Brown University Lacrosse Camp (boys age 10-18) is an overnight camp with the goal of teaching the fundamentals of lacrosse, stressing extensive individual instruction, along with daily participation in games. The Challenge is an overnight camp designed to attract high school varsity players from different parts of the country to compete in a regional team competition. Players will have an excellent opportunity to be seen and discovered by some of the top coaches from Division 1, 2, and 3 colleges as they will be evaluating players. The Brown University Evening Lacrosse Camp (boys age 7-14) is a camp that focuses on individual instruction tailored to the needs of each player. Players will be grouped by age, size, and ability and beginners are encouraged to attend. There will be scrimmages each night to practice applying what is learned in game-type situations.
