A starting defenseman for all of 2009, Jake has earned the trust and confidence from his teammates, proven with the bestowment of the title of captain for the 2010 season.  All of us in the program know that we get Jake's best every day in practice, both with his play and his voice.  Jake makes our team defense stronger with his intelligence and communication.  He has a great grasp of the defense's slide schemes and our man down unit's strategies.  During the 2009 season, Jake stepped up his game with picking up ground balls, gathering critical ones in the victory over Cornell.  Despite all of this, Jake's greatness truly comes from his undying loyalty to family, team and school...2009: Started all 16 games for the Bears...
