The growth of an athlete is not just physical in nature. The mental and emotional approaches to competition are just as critical. In his freshman year, Nick progressed as an offensive midfielder, further developing his tools to be a goal scorer. While he did not find much time on the game field in 2009, he concentrated on his advancement and gave us everything he had in practice. Few worked harder over the summer or this fall. Now, the graduation of the Class of 2009 has presented Nick with the playing time he so strongly desires. And play he will if he widens his grasp of the team schemes and continues to keep a forward-thinking perspective...2009: Saw action in six games for the Bears...Registered three shots on the season...Secondary School Background: A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy where he lettered in lacrosse...US Lacrosse All-American...Eastern New England Division I All-Region Selection for attack...Selected for the East/West New England Division I Prep Senior All-Star game...Offensive Player of the Year...Single season school record holder for goals by a midfielder...Led his team in goals scored...Recipient of the Exeter Coach's Award for Dedication & Commitment...Member of the National Honor Society...Graduated Cum Laude...Personal: The son of Andrew and Michele Laster...Has a brother, Ian...Enjoys tai-chi, stamp collecting, and NASCAR...Undecided on his concentration.
