Last year was a statement season for Kyle. He brought a bold and courageous dodging style to every game, and he continually proved to himself and his teammates that he was willing to do whatever it took to play and to win. He does what coaches ask of their attackmen when coming around the cage: take the extra step. He took an extra two-steps, scored goals, and took the hits, but kept getting up. He battled through a hand injury without a whimper. Kyle has enjoyed this fall studying in Italy...2007: Earned a starting role in our of 10 games played...Scored 15 goals, third best on the Brown team, and handed out nine assists...Scored two goals against Hofstra, Providence, Yale, Penn, Cornell and Princeton...Picked-up 15 ground balls...2006: Registered two goals and handed out three assists for the Bears...Earned starts in three of 11 games played...Scored goals against Penn and Harvard...Secondary School Background: A graduate of Darien High School where he lettered in lacrosse (3) and ice hockey (2)...MVP and team captain of undefeated FCIAC and State Championship team which finished number five in the nation...MVP of the State of Connecticut...First Team All-State and All-FCIAC...Scored 63 career goals and handed out 45 assists...Named to the Honor Roll every semester in high school...Personal: The son of Dana and Linheer Hollingsworth of Darien...Has a brother, Jeb, and a sister, Ellery...Enjoys surfing, skiing and ceramics...Economics concentrator. |
