His time has come.  For two years, our 2nd string "quarterback" has been a model teammate.  Every day, he came to practice prepared mentally and emotionally to be a better goalie, to make Brown better.  Matt was the first to jump off the sidelines to congratulate Jordan Burke on a great save.  He did everything we would want from a backup - his support to his teammates was unending, he never coasted in practice, and his play forced our own shooters to be more accurate.  Matt is prepared to be our goalie now.  In his first test this fall, he shined with 10 saves in the first half against a barrage of UNC shots.  And he continues to be sharp with his outlet passes.  Matt is also our volunteer leader with the Fox Point School 3rd grade classroom taught by Mrs. DeMillo...2009: Saw action in four games as a back-up to first team All-American goalie Jordan Burke...Made five saves in 7:32 during Brown's win over Vermont...Also made two saves vs. Delaware...2008: Saw action against Lehigh, Air Force and Vermont, making five saves...Back-up to Bears' All-American goalie Jordan Burke...Secondary School Background: A graduate of the Gilman School where he lettered in lacrosse (3) and ice hockey (2)...Lacrosse team captain as a senior...First team All-Baltimore County as a junior and senior...Tewaaraton Award Watch List...Gilman co-MVP and Coaches Award winner his senior year...Maryland Free-State team member...Blue Chip Camp attendee...Made 302 career saves with a save percentage of .603...Four-year Honor Roll student...Personal: The son of Andrew and Connie Chriss of Lutherville...Has a brother, Evan...Enjoys skiing, squash and going to the beach...Modern American History.
