Hurster’s Six Goals Leads Brown Over Hartford, 12-7
Senior attackman Sam Hurster exploded for career high six goals and freshman Dylan Molloy (Setauket, NY) added four goals to lead Brown to a 12-7 win over Hartford at chilly Stevenson Field Wednesday afternoon. Brown improves to 2-1 with the win, while Hartford falls to 2-2 overall.

Brown Laxers Host Hartford In Wednesday Matinee Match-up
Brown returns to action at Stevenson Field on Wednesday, March 5 with a matinee match-up against Hartford, starting at 4:00 pm. The Bears (1-1) are looking to rebound from a loss to UMass, while the Hawks (2-1) are coming off a win over Manhattan. All Brown home games and all Ivy games can be viewed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.

Bears Host #13 UMass In Home Lacrosse Opener On Saturday
The Brown and #13 UMass men’s lacrosse teams will be facing-off for the 47th time on Saturday, March 1 at Stevenson Field, with face-off scheduled for 1pm. Brown, with 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, and UMass with 19 NCAA post-season berths, are the dominant lacrosse programs in New England history. Brown freshman attackman Dylan Molloy (Setauket, N.Y.) was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after finding the net four times in his collegiate debut as the Bears defeated Quinnipiac, 13-6, in their season opener.

Tickets for all 2014 Brown Men’s Lacrosse home games are on sale now, priced at $7. Groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets in advance for just $5! Tickets can be purchased online, by calling the Brown Athletics Ticket Office at (401) 863-2773, or at the Box Office located in the Pizzitola Sports Center, open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Gates open for all home games one hour prior to the start of the game.

Lars Tiffany Named Speaker at 2014 US Lacrosse National Convention
US Lacrosse has named Brown University men’s lacrosse head coach Lars Tiffany '90 a speaker at the US Lacrosse National Convention, presented by Champion. Tiffany will join roughly 200 of the sport’s best coaches and officials as presenters at the largest professional development event in the world for lacrosse coaches, officials and administrators Jan. 10-12, 2014, in Philadelphia.

Brown Lacrosse Captains Named; Team Awards Announced
Head coach Lars Tiffany and the Brown men’s lacrosse team held its Annual Team Awards Banquet on Saturday, October 19, honoring the team award winners from the 2013 season and announcing the 2014 Brown lacrosse captains. Tiffany announced that senior attackman Sam Hurster (St. Louis, MO), senior middy Dan Mellynchuk (West Sayville, NY), senior defenseman Phil Pierce (Greenwich, CT) and senior defender Peter Vivonetto (Rocky Point, NY) have been named captains of the 2014 Brown men’s lacrosse team.

Brown Scrimmages Unite Unique Trio of Teams
Ten years ago, Chazz Woodson was a Brown student-athlete when he learned about the concept of Sankofa at a church service. The term roughly translates into the idea that "it's not taboo to go back and reclaim what you've forgotten," he said. On Friday, a decade later, Woodson and fellow professional lacrosse player Kyle Harrison showcased that concept on the field via their brainchild, the Sankofa Lacrosse Alliance, which hopes to better connect all levels of lacrosse players while especially focusing on connections among black players.

Woodson, Harrison Launch Sankofa Lacrosse For Brown, England Scrimmages
The world’s greatest Black lacrosse players will come together at Brown University under the banner of the Sankofa Lacrosse Alliance to promote academic, professional and social achievement for the next generation of lacrosse players. More than 200 former and present-day African-American players and lacrosse enthusiasts of all ages – both men and women – have pledged support of the Alliance, a group that seeks to unite the African-American lacrosse community in order to grow the sport, and expand its reach by utilizing the collective resources of the lacrosse network.

Brown Lacrosse Class of 2017
Brown lacrosse coach Lars Tiffany has introduced the Brown Lacrosse Class of 2017, with 10 student-athletes arriving on College Hill in September 2013. This year’s talented class includes nine first-year players and a transfer, who are standouts on the playing field and in the classroom.
