Playing time as a freshman is a tremendous reward for both the team, as we have found a man who can serve as an immediate contributor, and the athlete. Earning a starting spot is an even greater prize, something Jack was able to do despite the competition from two older goalies. There are many characteristics that the best goalies possess: quick hands, great outlets, clear communicators, etc. But the traits that really separate Jack are his poise in the cage along with his swagger that emits a tangible confidence. They also promote confidence from his teammates, who have grown to rely on Jack.
