Providence, R.I. - Coach Lars Tiffany's Brown men's lacrosse team (5-4, 1-2 Ivy) views tonight's game against #15 Yale (6-3, 2-2 Ivy) as an important step towards the Ivy League Playoffs, with the Bears and Elis facing-off in New Haven at Reese Stadium, starting at 7 pm.
The Bears have lost their last three games to ranked teams (#7 North Carolina, #8 Princeton and #17 Penn) after winning five straight games, and a win tonight over the Elis would go a long way in getting the Bears back into the playoff hunt.
Brown and Yale have met 56 times, dating back to 1927, with the Bears holding a 35-21 series advantage. Yale has won the last three meetings, including an 11-10 overtime decision last year in Providence. Brown's last win over the Elis came in 2009 when the Bears earned a 13-9 victory.
