One of the key measures of a good athletic program is the development of its players. Do the athletes become stronger? Do they learn new skills and sharpen old ones? Do they improve to the point where it is hard to remember what they looked like when they first arrived? By no means do all of our athletes experience such an evolution of talent, but Tim has made so much progress in one year that he has made a dramatic jump up the depth chart. He is poised to become a contributor in 2013 as he moves to the midfield position. The development of Tim Jacob is not complete, as he has more work to do to become a threat while dodging and shooting with either hand. But he has demonstrated to the staff and his teammates that his current trajectory shows no sign of leveling off. Tim is especially dangerous dodging off the low wing, where his strength and experience as an attackman allow him to be comfortable driving into a defense and making plays. He is also one of the best in the program with picking up ground balls, a true testament to the will and heart the man possesses and competes with…2012: Saw action in 12 games for the Bears.
