The original Mario hurdled barrels, climbed ladders and avoided anything else the big ape threw his way.  Undeterred by his own challenges, which have included opposing long-stick midfielders constantly flying in at him from the wing and two torn menisci, Tommy has been steadfast and resilient in bringing the proverbial carpenter's lunch pail everyday and continuing to build his game.  Second on the team for ground balls in 2012, the man does not know the word hesitate when it comes to exposing his body in the quest for a loose ball no matter the size of the scrum.  Tommy has developed his stick skills, having made improvements to the point where he is pushing fast breaks.  He earned the assist on Parker Brown's 100th career point during the Providence College game.  None of us will ever question the size of the heart and the fight in this man.  We have seen Tommy compete despite the pain from the known tears in each of his menisci with which he waited until after the seasons were over to have operated on.  Tommy enters this season as our #1 face-off specialist again…2012:  Had some big games for the Bears in the face-off x, winning 15-of-21 face-offs in Brown’s win over Dartmouth to advance to the Ivy League Playoffs…His 54 ground balls ranked second on the Brown team…Captured 13-of-21 face-offs vs. Quinnipiac…Registered an assist vs. Providence…Picked up a career high 10 ground balls vs. Quinnipiac, and eight each against Vermont and Dartmouth…2011: Played in 13 games for the Bears…Picked-up 14 ground balls…Captured 30 of 67 (.448) face-offs…Won 5 of 8 face-offs in a win over Providence…Picked up three ground balls and won all three face-offs vs. Quinnipiac…Secondary School Background: A graduate of Watertown High School where he lettered in lacrosse (4), football (3) and wrestling (5)…Captain of lacrosse, football and wrestling teams as a senior…Frontier League All-Star as a junior and senior…Participated in the Section III Exceptional Senior Lacrosse Game…Two-time Section III Division A 1st team linebacker…Holds school record for longest rushing TD - 98yards; Defensive and Team MVP..
