Providence, Rhode Island - Brown freshman attackman Nick Piroli (Black River, NY) was named the Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week for his play against Bryant and Penn, earning Ivy Rookie of the Week honors for the third time this season.
Piroli played a key role in Brown's 11-10 Ivy victory over Penn on Saturday that enabled the Bears to get back in the hunt for the Ivy League Playoffs. He scored two goals on two shots in the one-goal win over the Quakers. He also netted a goal against Bryant Tuesday evening.
Piroli ranks second on the Brown squad with 17 goals, while his 22 points also rank second on the Bears' squad.
The Bears return to action again on Friday, April 13, hosting Yale at Stevenson Field, starting at 7:00 p.m.
