Brown's Record: Brown (3-5, 0-2 Ivy) is coming off a 13-2 loss to Princeton on Saturday at Stevenson Field. Senior co-captain Rob Schlesinger scored both goals for the Bears. Earlier in the week, Bruno battled #8 Duke to the final seconds in Durham, North Carolina, before falling to the Blue Devils by a 9-8 margin.
The Bulldogs: Bryant is riding a six game winning streak following an 11-8 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday. The Bulldogs have also posted wins over St. Joseph's (11-7), Vermont (15-8), Drexel (7-6), Albany (14-12), Stony Brook (10-9) and Providence (9-4), while losing to Colgate (10-8) and Fairfield (9-8).
The Brown-Bryant Series Record: Brown and Bryant have met three, with the Bears holding a 2-1 series advantage. Last year, Bryant came away with an 8-7 decision in Smithfield, RI. In 2010, coach Lars Tiffany's team earned a 9-7 victory over the Bulldogs in Providence to clinch the Ocean State Cup.
This Date In Brown Lacrosse History- April 3, 1991: Brown's 1991 team earned a13-12 overtime win over UMass in Amherst, Mass. Oliver Marti '93 scored five goals and Pat Flynn '92 made 14 saves. Andy Towers '92 scored the game-winning goal in overtime. The Bears went on to tie the school record for wins in a season, posting an unbeaten regular season (13-0) and finishing with a13-1 overall mark, 6-0 in the Ivy League.
Bear Facts: Bears freshman attackman Nick Piroli leads the Bears in goals with 14 for the season…Sophomore defenseman Phil Pierce ranks fourth nationally with 2.5 caused turnovers per game… Junior defenseman Sam Ford leads the Brown squad with 31 ground balls…Brown's man-down defense ranks fourth nationally, allowing six goals in 29 opponent attempts… Senior co-captain Parker Brown is Brown's top scorer with 19 points (10 goals, 9 assists).
