Where is George most dangerous for our opponents?  Whether it is as a midfielder or attackman, the true answer to the question is this:  on the field.  George has such a savvy and creative comprehension of this game.  The more he plays, the better it is for Brown.  Last season found George more often at the midfield, and this is expected to continue in 2012.  Having spent a great deal of his lacrosse life playing from behind the goal, George has accurate passing skills to go along with a feeder-first mentality.  Lately he has been making conclusive strides and progress with his dodging from above the goal, and adding more heat to his shots while on the run.  George's advances in the weight room are also contributing to him becoming a well-rounded offensive threat and a bit of a match-up problem for our opponents.  He will be asked to direct a great deal of our offense in 2012, and to be a reliable defensive midfielder…2011: Started eight of 14 games played…Registered 11 points on the season (6 goals, 5 assists)…Handed out three assists against Bryant…Netted two goals against UMass, and one each against Quinnipiac, Vermont, Cornell and Dartmouth…Picked up 10 ground balls, including a season high three against Hartford…2010: Played in 11 games for the Bears…Had three goals for the season, including two against St. Joseph’s and one against Hofstra…Picked-up three ground balls…Secondary School Background: A graduate of the Hotchkiss School where he lettered in lacrosse and ice hockey… Lacrosse team captain… All-Western New England and All-Founders League… Named a New England All-Star… Helped lead his team to three-straight Founders League Championships and led his team in points his junior season… Named the team’s Most Valuable Player and team’s Most Improved Player… Also played on a club squash team… Senior Class President and member of the Disciplinary Committee… Recipient of the Centennial Prize… Personal: The son of Robert and Dee Dee Sherman… Has younger siblings, Audrey and Wiley… Enjoys hockey, tennis, and skiing… Commerce, Organizations and Entrepreneurship concentrator.
