Providence, Rhode Island - The Brown men' lacrosse team will close out its 2011 season on Saturday, April 30, traveling to Hanover, New Hampshire to face Dartmouth, starting at 1:00 p.m. The Bears have posted a 5-8 overall record, 1-4 in the Ivy League, while Dartmouth sports an identical record, 5-8 overall, 1-4 in Ivy play.
Coach Lars Tiffany put his squad through a spirited week of practice following last Saturday's 18-5 loss to Ivy Champion Cornell at Stevenson Field. Junior Rob Schlesinger was one of the lone bright spots for the Bears with two goals.
Saturday's game against the Big Green marks the final contest for 11 Brown seniors - Matt Chriss, Teddy Daiber, Peter Fallon, Andrew Feinberg, Jeffrey Foote, Matt Greenberg, David Hawley, Nick Martell, Joe Orloff, Seth Ratner and Jimmy Wittpenn.
Feinberg Among Brown's Top 10 All-Time Scorers: Senior attackman Andrew Feinberg (Owing Mills, MD) will conclude his outstanding Brown career, having already tallied 159 points (122 goals, 37 assists), eighth best in Brown lacrosse history. His 122 career goals are fifth all-time at Brown and seventh among active NCAA scorers. His 24 career hart-tricks are third among all active NCAA Division I players. He is also Brown's top goal scorer in 2011 with 23 goals.
Brown – Dartmouth Series Record: The Bears and Big Green have met 54 times, dating back to 1926, with Brown holding a 35-19 series advantage. Brown has won the last three games over the Big Green, including a 10-9 overtime win over Dartmouth to win the Ivy League Championship on the final day of the 2010 regular season. The Big Green last defeated the Bears in 2007, a 9-8 win in four overtimes.
