Spring Academic All-Ivy Announced
Providence, RI- The Ivy League announced its spring list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with 10 Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were each starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.

Jordan Burke ’09 Named MLL Defensive Player of the Week
Former Brown goalie Jordan Burke ’09 has made an impact on the professional level and was named the Major League Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. At Brown, Burke was a two-time Ivy League Player of the Year, the USILA Goalie of the Year, and a first team All-American while helping the Bears to an Ivy League title and NCAA Tournament appearance.

Brown Laxers Named To All-New England Team
Senior defenseman Peter Fallon (Baltimore, MD), senior attackman Andrew Feinberg (Owing Mills, MD), senior goalie Matt Chriss (Lutherville, MD), and junior midfielder Rob Schlesinger (Medfield, MA) have been selected to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division I All-Star Team. Fallon earned first team All-New England recognition, with Feinberg, Chriss and Schoesinger earned second team All-New England accolades.

Junior attackman Parker Brown’s (San Francisco, CA) fourth goal of the game with 1:30 remaining in overtime lifted a rejuvenated Brown squad to a 13-12 Ivy League victory over Dartmouth for its second straight overtime win over the Big Green. Both teams conclude the 2011 season, Brown with a 6-8 overall mark, 2-4 in the Ivy League, while Dartmouth falls to 5-9, 1-5 in Ivy play.

Cornell earned its ninth consecutive Ivy League Championship with an 18-5 win over Brown Saturday afternoon at rainy and muddy Stevenson Field. With six different players scoring goals, and inspired play by Bears’ senior goalie Matt Chriss (Lutherville, MD) in the fourth quarter, Brown earned a hard fought 6-4 win over Providence College Tuesday evening at Lennon Family Field. The Bears, 5-7 overall, captured their 17th consecutive victory over the Friars (3-9) without a loss.

Peter Fallon Named Candidate For 2011 Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award
Brown University defenseman Peter Fallon is among 20 NCAA men’s lacrosse student-athletes, who excel both on and off the field, to be named candidates for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award in lacrosse. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
