The freshman keeper started his first fall like many new college lacrosse goalies do: he struggled. The speed of the game, and especially the shooting, cannot be recreated before arrival to campus. But slowly and surely Will has caught up and he finished the fall in good form. Now that he is seeing the ball better, he is concentrating on the other parts of his game such as his positioning. Will’s progress has been rewarding to the staff, especially Coach Turner in his first semester with Will, and he is truly pushing Wills Curley for the title of second string. The next step will be a big one for the quiet, subtle goalie: to be a vocal and loud leader at the defensive end…Secondary School Background: A graduate of Mt.
