Providence, Rhode Island – Brown junior attackman Andrew Feinberg (Owing Mills, Md.) was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after scoring four goals in 16th-ranked Brown’s 13-11 win over 11th ranked Harvard on Saturday.
Brown’s win over Harvard helped propel the Bears to 13th in the latest national poll with a 3-1 overall record, 1-0 in the Ivy League.
Feinberg's third goal of the game gave Brown a 12-8 lead with 9:58 left in the game. Harvard scored three straight goals to draw to within a goal of the Bears, 12-11, with 2:08 left to play. Feinberg again answered the bell for the Bears, putting the game out of reach with his fourth goal with just 53 seconds remaining, giving the Bears a 13-11 advantage.
Feinberg, who scored four goals for the second time this season, is Brown’s leading scorer with 11 goals on the season. Brown’s win over Harvard helped propel the Bears to 13th in the latest national poll.
The Bears are back in action again on Tuesday, hosting New England rival UMass at Meister-Kavan Field, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
