Philadelphia, PA - As a Nor’Easter plowed through rain swept Finnesey Field, the 14th-ranked Brown men’s lacrosse scored early and often in an 18-4 victory over St. Joseph’s. Sophomore Parker Brown led the Bears with his second consecutive hat-trick, scoring three goals and adding two assists.
The win extends the Bears record to 2-1, while St. Joseph’s falls to 0-7.
Parker Brown scored Brown’s first two goals as the Bears opened a 6-0 lead, and went on to hold an 8-1 lead after one quarter. Early second quarter goals by freshman George Sherman, freshman Dan O’Brien, and junior Andrew Feinberg opened up an insurmountable 11-1 advantage over the Hawks.
Four Brown players scored two goals each, including Feinberg, Hawley, Sherman, and Johnny DePeters.
Brown opens its Ivy League season next Saturday, March 20, traveling to Cambridge, Massachusetts to face Harvard.
