Feisty and resilient are words that define Louis. It is never easy to walk-on to a college team, and especially a team that only graduated one man at your position the year before. But Louis has not given in, despite not receiving much encouragement from the staff that he would achieve a roster spot. We admire Louis for his perseverance, and his willingness to take a risk. The man has heart… Secondary School Background: A graduate of Horace Mann where he lettered and started in football and lacrosse for all four years… Lacrosse and football team captain… Two-time team MVP… Named First Team All-Ivy for two years… First Team All-Metro in 2009 and Second Team All-Metro the year before… Named Metro-Area Defensive Player of the Year… Also selected to the NYC Empire State Games Lacrosse Team… Two-time team MVP in football… Also named to both First Team and Second Team All-Fairchester League… Helped lead his team to two Fairchester League Championships… Received academic honors in Math, Art History, History, and French… Personal: The son of Steven and Leslie Solmonson… Has two sisters, Samanta, a Brown ’06 graduate, and Isabel, a Brown ’08 graduate… Undecided on his concentration.
